Innovative teaching in the course on Technology and the Future of Medicine

Dear Colleagues,

It is very exciting that the course is beginning this Thursday. I urge you to attend as many of the teaching sessions as possible as it is through collective intelligence that we will see the innovative structure of the course evolve further most rapidly. The structure for most teaching sessions will be half hour lecture, half hour small group discussion and then half hour full class discussion. The lecture for the first session will run longer, about 45 minutes in all. In the initial CME version of the course we are asking the students to provide an exam question and answer for each teaching session they attend. The lecture schedule currently ends in mid November but we do anticipate adding additional teaching sessions.  I would ask you to think about possible subjects and speakers for these.  Any other suggestions for improvement are also most welcome.  See you Thursday!

All the best. - Kim
