Technology is Not Enough: the Future of Humanity in an Age of AI with Nikola Danaylov

nikola-danaylov-on-konozA couple of days ago I got interviewed by Federico Pistono, who is one of the co-founders of Konoz. During our 80 min conversation we covered a variety of topics such as: my personal podcasting origin story; major takeaways from my interviews; interviewee and audience testimonials of impact stories; why technology is a magnifying mirror; veganism and ethics; the greatest danger to humanity; my current crowdfunding campaign

Here is Federico’s description of Nikola Danaylov’s interview:

Dear EduCreators,

In this month’s live hangout we will discuss and explore the role of technology in modern age and in the future with Nikola Danaylov, host of Singularity 1on1, a series of podcast where he interviewed over 200 of the best scientists, writers, entrepreneurs, film-makers, journalists, philosophers and artists, debating the impact of technology, exponential growth, genetics, robotics, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and the technological singularity.

And yet, in spite of all the ethics talk, we can always rationalize the use of that very data, we’ve not even supposed to have looked at (but we don’t even realize the power we’re abusing since it makes it so easy to forget!), for a ‘noble’ (we’d hope, as always) purpose. Can’t we? My fellow (vegan) sushi-lover. ; )

But fear not, wisest man (among whom?). Once the *embargo* on the “other” 6 billion is lifted, thanks to crypto-currencies, you’ll have no need for the, so-called, “generosity” you were *forced* to be — so very — grateful for. May you, and we all, *survive* long enough to *survive forever*, or at least *see* that day. Or would you say this is a catch 22?
