Without You There Will Be No Singularity Weblog!

Singulati15333852Today I just want to take a minute and say “Thank You!”

Thank you, because without you there will be no Singularity Weblog.

Thank you, because without you there will be no Singularity 1 on 1.

Thank you, because without you I can call myself neither a blogger nor a podcaster.

Thank you, because without your support, comments and criticisms, I would have neither the means nor the motivation to continue doing my work.

Thank you for giving me a reason and always being there for me.

Thank you!

  • Darian Wawer

Hi, my name is Darian Wawer and today I simply want to take a minute and say ‘thank you’, Nikola.

Thank you, because without you, where would be no other place to learn so much about all the fascinating subjects related to cutting-edge technology and its impact on the future of humanity.
Thank you, because without your commitment and hard work, there would be no other place to learn about the people behind these technologies and social changes that their are part of; no other place to grow fond of these amazing and passionate people and see their human faces.
Thank you, because without your work I couldn’t know that I can call myself a transhumanist or that there are so many fascinating subjects and communities to learn about.
Thank you, because without your struggle to keep going and keep making that knowledge freely available – despite many obstacles and hardships – I could have never managed to learn so much, and expand my horizons so substantially in such a reasonable amount of time.
Thank you, because without your continual work, I could not have had the means to keep up with the ever accelerating rate of awesome news happening in so many fields (which as I learn more, the dots and people come out more and more intertwined).

Thank you, because for the past few years you have been the inspiration and a very strong force keeping me engaged in some of the most engrossing and important subjects that there are. Thank you because your work helped me stay connected with the subjects I deeply care about through highs and lows of my own and helped me realize that in one way or another I want to be part of this change that’s happening around the world.

Thank you, because thanks to you, I have found one of my life’s purposes. Something worthwhile doing, as Carl Sagan once said.

Thank you Nikola, the world is a better place because of what you do. Your work is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers from Europe. πŸ˜‰

  • And thank you Darian, in my 4 years of blogging I have not received a better message than yours – you not only made my day but also made me cry πŸ˜‰

  • Darian Wawer

Oh, thanks for saying that. It’s good to know that it actually mattered and didn’t bore you to death (that would be a shame!). πŸ˜‰
Honestly, that’s the least that I could do. You know, there really aren’t enough ways to express how valuable your work is and how deeply and personally transformational it has been in the past few years.

Hope to one day be able to say ‘thank you’ in a more meaningful way and meet you in person. You also inspired me to try to get to SU, no matter how improbable (mission impossible-ish) it may seem. It might take a decade (or more) – but what a decade of a journey that will be. πŸ˜‰

You ‘made my day’ many times over with your work, so I still have a long way to go. πŸ˜‰ But I’m persistent, like a honey badger, so beware!

Love your stuff Nicola. Keep up the great work.
